Propping and jacking techniques are commonly used together for various applications, such as a light propping job, a bridge lift, a façade retention, or anything in between.
Our propping systems – System 160 and Mass 10 can be used in conjunction with our Frami panel system to support formwork. Our unique installation and monitoring service supports our jacking systems.
Equipment includes hydraulic jacks, flat jacks, propping towers, and temporary props. Each type of equipment serves specific purposes depending on the load and structural requirements. We offer an extensive range of propping and jacking equipment that can be used for various construction projects with low—to high-load capacity requirements.
In all instances, we recommend following the procedure in our specific Product User Guides (accessible via the Technical Hub or any individual product pages) when it comes to finding the right solution for your project. As for all general guidance, it is the customer’s responsibility to decide whether it should be followed for his specific application and to ensure a safe system of work.
There will be signs if there is a problem with the temporary works equipment during a project. When it comes to propping and jacking, props could be out of place, causing eccentric loads, loose holding-down fixings, cracking or crushing of the façade, gaps between the temporary works and the façade, and deterioration of various components of the equipment.
In any of these instances, regular inspections and maintenance are essential to ensure the equipment remains in good working condition. It is crucial that all factors are assessed to reduce and eliminate further risks.
Propping provides temporary support during construction or repairs, while jacking can serve both temporary and permanent applications, depending on the project requirements and the type of jack used.
To select the right propping and jacking solution for your construction project, consider key factors such as the load requirements, the type of structure, and the project’s specific details.
